# Como aprendi a digitar em casa com um livro de datilografia

Minha mãe fez um curso de datilografia quando era solteira e ainda repousava um livro na estante de casa com os exercícios do tal curso. Uma vez meu pai, que trazia tranqueiras para casa, trouxe uma Olivetti que poderia ser usada hoje como peso para musculação. Como jovem não tem nada pra fazer eu estava "zerando" os livros que tinha em casa e essa foi uma oportunidade para fazer o curso de datilografia através do livro, do começo ao fim. Na época escritórios ainda usavam bastante máquina de escrever e poderia ser algo útil no futuro. E eu gostei da experiência. Quando você faz exercícios repetitivos começa a gostar da brincadeira, sabe de cor a organização das letras. E o livro deixava claro que você não deveria olhar para as teclas, mas para o papel. Eu treinava do jeito certo. Fiquei bom nisso. Comecei a escrever cartas para pessoas e empresas com a Olivetti. Uma vez escrevi uma carta para a fabricante de um mini tabuleiro de xadrez onde veio faltando uma peça. Me mandaram a peça pelo correio. Eu sabia o formato padrão das formalidades de enviar carta por correspondência (o "Atenciosamente", entrada, espaçamento, etc).

Quando conheci um teclado digital foi uma experiência incrível! Eu nunca poderia imaginar o quão era leve e simples digitar em vez de socar as teclas de uma máquina de escrever. E ainda tinha o backspace, meu deus, que revolução! eu tinha uns corretivos para máquina, eram uns papéis com branquinho onde vc deixava na frente do ponto onde queria apagar e apertava qualquer letra, só para firmar o branquinho no papel.

da série de coisas inúteis para fazer aliado à sede por livros eu vasculhava as bibliotecas da cidade também. uma vez achei um manual para secretárias que ensinava a escrita dinâmica para ditados. aprendi isso também, mas não tinha muito como praticar. o bacana eram os códigos que foram padronizados, como finais longos de palavras (o sufixo mente, por exemplo) eram traduzidos em uns rabiscos. o código servia para compactar expressões inteiras, geralmente as mais usuais pelo tipo de discurso (acho que era mais pra escritório, mas existem códigos específicos para anotar processos jurídicos, por exemplo). uma secretária bem treinada seria capaz de acompanhar na escrita um discurso dito sem pausas e anotar tudo para transcrever depois

# The Neuroscience of the Gut

The microbe-free animals were more active and, in specific behavioral tests, were less anxious than microbe-colonized mice.
